Interesting effect – personally I think you can’t see enough of the subject to be sure of what you’re looking at. Worth pursuing nonetheless. Alison x

Lovely, they looked like made from sketches than photos! I wonder the original looked like..oh, but to be sure, are these from photos?
These these are photos – should have included the original! Hope I can remember what I did but one just had Gaussian blur

A worthy experiment! I think, with this ‘dreamy’ effect, that the composition of the first works better by having more free space – it enhances the calm feel.
