Petworth 2

A family home for 800 years. From 1500 the permanent home of the Percy family. Capability Brown landscaped the 700 acres. 3rd Earl of Egremont inherited in 1763 – was a patron to J.M.W. Turner the artist.
It was left to the National Trust in 1947 but part of the buildings is still occupied by the family

Petworth House

This is a National Trust Property in West Sussex, England. The house has the Trust’s biggest art collection.

Chaffinch

This bird flew overhead and we walked so near but it stayed on its perch

The musicians were stylish in their dress. They were inviting the public to buy their CD.
