I visited the cathedral while still in university, & was deeply moved. Thank you for taking me there again.
I hope to follow this with a blog about the new cathedral
I look forward to that. My visit was in the 1960s, not so very long after the war, & I remember that ay a group of German university students were present, doing … ‘penance’ is the wrong word, but certainly carrying out an organized activity of acknowledgment & respect.
It looks stunning and unique – glad that some part of it stays stand still after the bombing..
